I'm really having a difficult time getting used to adjusting to the command button for cut, paste, select all, copy, etc. hot keys.

It's not so much the button as it is the location of it. As a result, I'm thinking of making a switch to my command and control functions.

I wanted to know if anyone has done this before, though. And did you run into any sort of functional issues later down the line? Is there anything I should keep in mind before switching these two keys?

Most importantly, is there an option for me to simply replace specific hot key tasks such as copy, paste, cut, select all, delete, etc. with the control key? Or do I have to simply switch out control with command?

Thanks.

Go to: System Preferences->Keyboard->Keyboard->Combi Keys*
And change them to your liking

i swapped those and have also remapped other key-functions using a tool named karabiner. i use non-apple keyboards on my machines where this comes in very handy.
