has anyone downloaded mavericks from 10.6.8

upgraded my 2009 iMac from 10.6.8 without any issues - runs smoothly, maybe a little bit faster

I've tried SL upgrade to Mv
I've tried ML upgrade to Mv
I've also tried clean install of Mv
No unusual anomalies out of these upgrade paths.
The only thing I gain from SL to Mv upgrade is that Intel-coded apps that still carries a PowerPC-based installers (in my case Starry Night Pro, and an obsolete Epson scanning software) get ported over to Mavericks without issue.
