So I get the email from Apple confirming that my item has been shipped, click on the tracking link to find out that I've been shafted by UPS.

Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I don't get it... Shafted in what way?

It is not just YOU!

You are just PISSED as you live out where UPS or FedEx do NOT deliver on a daily basis. This is why UPS and FedEx make a profit and the Postal service does not!

This is no fault of UPS and if you feel shafted, enjoy!:p

Probably just means you'll be receiving the iPhone 4S on the 14th.

Some people refuse to take responsibility for anything, even where they live.

You live in Poconos, PA. Better known as "the sticks". You're lucky you can get mail service there.

I must kindly take exception. I too live in the Poconos... Not the "sticks" as you would characterize. I've never had delivery issues / downgrades from any of the carriers because of location. Never a problem. Not to worry the OP, but I really wonder why he received that tracking result...unusual, IMO.

I think "Got the shaft" is a little harsh, at this point you don't even know if your shipment will be delayed by one minute. How about reserving judgement until you actually know what the effect of this change was?

The irony of your posts (here and in other threads) is that you claim to be unimpressed and generally disinterested in certain replies and yet you offer nothing. It seems your opinions are lacking, in that, you seem to not really have one but you have access to a repository of lots of emoticons. Color me amazed.

OP, would it matter that much if the phone is a day late?

My posts offer nothing? In the words of you, "you're joking I hope"...

Ooops! I think you mistook this site for your twitter account!
You should feel bad, for creating this thread.
My powers of deduction suggest that your phone has not yet shipped.
Filed under: who gives a ****.
You're joking I hope.

And I didn't even have to dig! That was the first page of recent posts by you! So in response to what you came at me with, LMFAO! Now respond talking about how I'm either 1.) a stalker, 2.) pathetic for "wasting" my time doing this (90 seconds?), etc., etc. because you got shut down. In the 5 years I've been here I've not once been amused by your smart-ass, condescending attitude.

(Insert relevance to the OP here so my post stays within forum guidelines.)

Apple always arranges the iPhone deliveries to an exact date. If your shipment were to get somewhere a day early they would probably put a hold on it to make sure it arrives on the release day. They compute a delivery day from china to make sure everyone gets their IPhone on the same release day as the stores. They want it to hit all at once.

nm, didn't read it right the first time, thought you were going through customs. I've never seen something like that. I'd call your SP or Apple, depending on where you ordered it.

As long as you aren't on an expedition to the north pole, they should get it to you. Or maybe at least realize that the selected carrier won't get it to you before the stuff actually leaves the factory.

Talk to you service provider, there should - and has to - be a way for you to get the product. Maybe not on the 14th, but sometime in the not-so-distant future.
