I have been through two rMBPs, and had the I/O board (the board with the thunderbolt ports) replaced twice, because every time, after a couple months, the port becomes very sensitive to movement and the slightest movement disconnects my thunderbolt display.

I am hoping that they have fixed this, which is obviously a design flaw, in the new rMBP, but I am basically wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I think it might be a combination of poor design/engineering, and the high level of heat that results form using a thunderbolt display for extended periods of time.

edit: and just fyi, I don't do anything abusive to my macbook. I literally just sit at my desk all day with my thunderbolt display plugged into it.
