Has anyone ever gotten Airplay to work without lag ?

I have never been able to get airplay to work without sometimes of jitter or lag. Ever, either on a samsung airplay enabled tv or to appletv itself. I've adjusted all settings, including the ones on my modem and yet still despite the laptop being right next to the unit, there is still delay,jitter,lag.

Would love to know if anyone has ever gotten this feature to work smoothly and how you accomplished it.
