Hi

I was wondering if i could take my iMac (late 2010 and out of warranty) to they Genius Bar at my nearest Apple store to have the dust behind the LED screen cleaned?

I don't mean dust behind the outer glass thats only held on by magnets!

Would they do this, and does anyone know how much it would cost?

I know there are guides on iFixit on how to dismantle it all to do this but i would prefer someone less clumsy than me did it :p

Thanks

they don't clean behind the screen i have tried. They only replace the screen..they will clean the dust behind the glass and that's about it...the display for my 2010 21 inch was going to cost $400 because i no longer had warranty. I Got it replaced for free after arguing with the level of managers. Apple does give into customer complaints and request. You feel like an ******* but hey i didn't pay $400. that story usually gets a lot of people on here saying omg people like you shouldnt exisit. :D

sigh......

i guess i'll just have to do it myself then......

...... if i don't reply back here with any news for the next few months, you know somethings gone tits up........
