Has anyone figured out how to modify the 2D Dock?

I'm seeing lots of info on modifying the 3D Dock "Shelf" appearance but, how the heck do I mod the color of the 2D Dock. I prefer the older Tiger opacity where it's semi-transparent white instead of semi-transparent black. Is there a resource somewhere that I am missing or is it just not modifyable?

I use Claerdock in Tiger and have no background or trim and red triangles. I'm sure Unsanity will soon add 10.5 compatability and add new features.
