It feels like Apple has tried their best to abstract the meaning of this value as best they can, all in the name of It Just Works™. Not even the employees know what it means. I made the mistake of asking the person helping me with the fit in-store today and it was painful to hear their gears churning at 5000rpm trying to eke out a guess.
I tried my best to figure out the differences by holding different SKUs side-by-side. It seems like the larger numbers had more depth in the direction of the eyes to the lens. Any thoughts on this?
