So I just bought 4 cables off of eBay from a US seller. 2 of the cables worked for 2 days and the other two did not work at all. The reviews on Amazon for other 3rd party cables are pretty bad. I really dont want to pay $20 for the Apple cable ... is this something I should wait out? Will 3rd parties eventually be able to crack Apple's chip?

Paitence my friend, patience!

I was so spoiled with my ten foot 4s cable that this little one is killing me!

I have been using this (http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/...ning-8-pin-to-usb-datacharging-cable-for-appl) and have had no issues. Two of my coworkers also have this. Build quality is pretty good as well.
