Has anyone had a voicemail appear hours later?

I have been receiving iphone visual voicemails up to an hour later after someone has left one... Has anyone else had this happen?

Once, the first or second day after launch. My dad said he called and left a message, I said I never got a missed call or a voicemail... it showed up hours later.

I have had this problem for years with every phone, its an ATT thing for sure if you are using ATT

Happened to me tonight.

Someone left a VM at 5:30 and I got the notification around 8.

Happened to me the other day. Got a missed call and got the message telling me and then hours later I got the same message again.

Happens on my previous phones where I get missed calls and voicemail messages but never get the notifications.

So I think its probably my service provider rather than the phone itself.

Given that visual voicemail uses the data connection to download the message to the iPhone this problem suggests a data connection problem.

Not quite sure of all of the specifics on how visual voicemail works so......

Yup happened to me today, someone left a voicemail at 1pm, got it at 6pm, luckily it wasn't anything important.

This happened to me for the first time in a year with my iPhone. It seemed to be related to being on WiFi and not Edge/3G.

Anyone know if you can get Voice Mails over WiFi?

Only after 2.02

Mine worked fine until the 2.02 update. It seems like restarting the phone gets the missing voicemails to deliver. Has anyone had problems pre-2.02?

Happened to me last night. Missed call came in around 5:00PM and I didn't get the VM until much later.

Had 2 voicemails, one around 3:30 pm and the other at 5:55 pm (those were the times for the missed calls), but I did not get the vm until 8pm.

Unfortunately this has been happening with at&t for years, and so far they have never fixed it. My son called my wife several days ago (she has a Nokia flip phone) and she didn't get his voice mail until about 5 days later. It makes VM pretty much useless, as you can never depend on it.

Happens way more frequently than I care to admit

Had this same problem last week and again yesterday.

Last week it might have cost my wife and I a potential house sale, since we missed two calls from our agent asking to show our house.

Happened again last night: got a voice mail at 4:30 that didn't show up until 9pm.

Completely unacceptable.
