I'm having a serious issue with this card. Installed card loaded drives. Now my MacPro (early 2008) after working fine for about 3 weeks, acted up and the machine stopped running. When I tried to boot the machine the fans ran at top speed but never booted. I hauled the machine into the apple store and they've determined the card is bad. Removed the card and it ran fine.

I've contacted FirmTech to return it but first they asked me to send them a system profiler data file, and I did, they emailed a new drive and asked me to re-install the card in the #4 PCI-x slot, I did, and the same problems occurred.

This is their response was:

Please return the product via a trackable carrier in a well packed shipping box using bubble wrap or other protective material that will avoid any damage to the item and product box.

Item to be returned for testing
Qty 1 SeriTek/2SE2 serial number ST2SE2E07060147

FirmTek will test the SeriTek/2SE2 card to verify if it is working correctly. If it works in the FirmTek Mac Pro this will indicate that there may be a 3rd party software installed on your computer that is causing the issue.

Has anyone had any of these issues? It seems FirmTek doesn't have an answer as to the 3rd party software issue.
