Has anyone had luck with AT&T giving them a text plan under $20?

I just signed up with att. One big downside is that they only offer the $20 text plan. I only need about 300 texts because I mostly use iMessage.

Has anyone had any luck with att offering a smaller text plan like the old days?

They had a promotion and my unlimited texting plan and unlimited mobile to any mobile only costs me $10 now. :D
 
AT&T said they couldn't give me any texting promo because I am on a old voice plan with 200 min and 1000 N&W minutes. I'm not moving off of this plan. WhatsApp and iMessage do a great job of keeping my pay per text usage less than $5/month.
