Has anyone heard from Target yet?

Not holding my breath on them.

I am number 1 on their list and figured it was worth the 5 minutes it took me to sign up.

Just curious if anyone has received word that Target has some in stock. I called mine and they said they're "supposed to get some tomorrow morning". Hmmmm :rolleyes:
 
I got on the list for a gold sprint at my Target on Monday reassuring me that I would get it on the 20th. They said I would get an email once the phone's in the system. No email yet so I'm guessing they aren't coming through.
 
My local target won't carry 64gb size?!?!

I called to add myself to the list and the Target employee told me they are not carrying the 64gb size of the 5S.

Anyone else hear that?

I was #1 at a pretty busy store in a major city. Haven't gotten an email yet...
 
I'm in Indiana and I went to target to check and they only got one
White iPhone 5s 32gb.He said its possible they could get an order in
The morning but he said to not bet on it.
 
When I got on their list (I went late in the day last Friday and was first to sign up at that location), I was told that the phones wouldn't be in their system until Friday morning.

I'm not particularly optimistic, but it was five or ten minutes out of my day.
 
i talked to the mobile guy at my target. he said he did not have any clue what he would get and when. he also said if he even got them at 8 am when the store opened he probably wouldn't have them out to sell immediately at 8. he would call/text the list as he gets them. basically, useless.
 
Went today to ask about when I would get an email. They said stock will come in during the night and I should have an email by the morning. I'll be in line at the Verizon store across the street until then...
 
Someone on another thread posted a screenshot of their email fromTarget showing their device ready for pick up on Friday. At my Target, the woman said that last year they received zero iPhone 5 on launch day, so I'm not holding my breath for me, even though I'm number two on the list.

Guaranteed me a iPhone 5 on launch day. I even paid them a deposit ($100). Friday rolls around, no call, so I call them. They say they haven't gotten any. Saturday rolls around (you understand how frustrated I am considering everyone else got their iPhone 5) and still no call so I call them. They say they still don't have any and don't know when. I'm like okkk.. why did you guarantee me then? So I ended up cancelling with them and went to Fry's which had some..
 
I don't understand why Target (aka Radio Shack, at least in California) would bother with the time and effort of taking orders. Do they just hope they will get a big shipment? Don't they know they'll sell every one they get regardless?
All it does is p*ss off customers.

I think you have to temper expectations at this point. It's nice to have a faux-pre-order in at Target, but I would not expect them to get any. If they do, it's just a bonus. If you think you will get one on launch day from Target, expect disappointment.

Not expecting them to have enough for everyone is reasonable.
Not expecting them to have any is not.
They're a very large retailer that supports multiple carriers.
There is no way that they won't have at least some.
 
I reserved 2 5s for tomorrow. No email. Called them tonight and they said they most likely will be getting pink 5c's. Wtf?

It's like the Seinfeld episode about taking reservations. What's the point of taking one if it doesn't reserve anything? Ridiculous.
