I’ve had a 2018 12.9 ipp since launch and have loved it. Recently I purchased a 13 MBP M1 and am noticing that I’m loving being back on the MacBook more than my iPad. I contemplated getting the new M1 IPP but it seems like it’s essentially what I have already only faster (my old iPad) anyone other than me using a MBP more these days?

I have Air M1 and older Ipad Pro 10.5. I almost jumped on the IPP 11 but had last minutes thoughts as why? The Air is fantastic. I will just hang on the the 10.5 for movies and reading. My only complaint is that Apple stopped allowing IOS apps the be sideloaded. That was a neat option on the M1.

Until I got the M1 MBA, I was using my iPad Pro 2020 for most everything. I still enjoy using the iPad at work, car rides, and other small tasks. It serves its purpose well although I wouldn't have used it as much as I did without the Magic Keyboard. For me, the M1 MBA, 12" MacBook, and 2015 MBA are what I use most.

Same story as yours. Coming from a 2018 12.9 Pro to a M1 MBP and I love it....

I own both and use them for very different purposes. The IPP (11” here) is for notes in GoodNotes and some casual surfing. The MBP (16”) is used for work & video calls. I'm considering getting a Mac mini or iMac, though. Is the iPad good for video calls and can I still jot down notes during a call?
