There is NO carrier listed. I have noticed that ever since the launch photos came up.

Yet the hands on shows AT&T...

Any ideas? :D

The iPhone 4 will not be sold exclusively in the United States.

Apple is being fair to international carriers by not showing AT&T as the carrier.

Nothing special.

Yeah, I noticed the second one is a photoshop. Do you see the bar's on that thing?

The top one is a rendered image. It's missing the carrier because they're not going to make an image for the hundred or so carriers out there.

The bottom one is a real phone, it was filmed in the US.

I think it's because the iPhone will be (and is) available in different countries and the United States is the only one that provides AT&T service. So they don't want to show a specific carrier/provider.

(AT&T Carrier Pic)

Yes.

That's because the top picture is used for press and to show the phone on the website. The iPhone is worldwide and there are many more carriers than just AT&T. AT&T is only proprietary to the USA.

The second image was simply because it was taken in the USA.

EDIT: Wow... I'm slow! (You guys beat me to it. :p)

They've been doing that for awhile. 3GS has it, too. I'm fairly certain that they had it on the old 3GS page, too, but it's no longer on their website.

EDIT: Wow, ninja'd by about 5 posts...

Probably because iPhone 4 is launching on many different carriers and not just AT&T. The hands on show AT&T because that phone was connected to AT&T.

Well ****. I guess I need to get some sleep because my brain never put the two together.

Major brain fart. :(

lmao at the about 10 posts all saying the same exact thing within about 5 minutes.

Not to mention a bunch were made at 9:41 ... as the famous Apple o'clock showing on the first pic ...

Edit: At least if you live my time zone. Hehe.

Anyone notice that all the times are at 9:41 AM on all iPhone 4 images, but the times used to all be at 9:42 AM on the 3GS? ;P

Crazy we both posted about 9:41 at exactly 9:52 ... I suppose since you brought up 9:42 ...

Allrighty then.
