I was told by apple CS that I would receive my bumper in a few days. It's been over a week now

yeah, I know. Just wondering if anyone received theirs during the week or even had their DIY request status updated.

Nope. I have two free ones coming my way and they were ordered last Friday June 25. The repair site still says "shipment pending" My suspicion is that they will ship but not for a very long time. Just enough time to get you frustrated to buy one yourself so you don't have to wait, as I assume the people who flop down the cash will come first.

Mines still has not shipped yet, they said that they were on back order so it would take awhile. However, I called and complained about the delay and my Applecare rep called my local apple store and talked with the manager and the manager agreed to have one set aside for me as a courtesy. The rep also told me he had no control over the repair aspect of my bumper so my DIY repair bumper is still in the system and he said I would be getting the one that ships also. So I went to my local apple store and they had one set aside for me to pick up. Got back home and checked my DIY repair bumper and it is still in the system 3 days later and it still says shipment pending so looks like that Apple Rep was right.

Mine shipped to deliver on July 9.

they called AppleCare or went to the genius bar and complained/ mentioned their reception problems. The 'free bumper' policy has ended now.

I got mine a few days free that policy came out.

I called about my bumper not fitting well, and not wanting to wait another three weeks after sending mine back for replacement. She offered to send me one for free and also let me choose a color.

Mine just shipped today (was ordered June 25th). Still in China, expected delivery July 19th.

Must have emailed customer service 10 times bugging them. Looking forward to it, i guess.
