Has anyone sold a Verizon iPhone 4S that you got unlocked?

I want to sell my Verizon 4S which I had unlocked by Verizon Global Support (non-U.S. SIM cards work, but U.S. carrier SIM cards do not) and I'm wondering whether it remains unlocked once it's removed/deactivated from my Verizon line. Anyone know?
