Has anyone thought of downgrading to iOS 6 just to update to iOS 7 via OTA?

Most of us have the GM on our phones. The other day I was thinking of downgrading to iOS 6 just to get the OTA for iOS 7. Yes I know what you guys are going to say. GM is the same as the public release. But none of you have had this thought though? To maybe see if it is different in any way, even if it may not be?
 
It's a lot of hassle for something identical, plus you run the risk of slow server downloads and having to use iOS6 until the official general release comes out. Personally I'll be sticking with my GM version, it's running great!
 
It will not be different.

If it was different Apple would either be screwing developers (because the release is different to the GM but cannot be updated to), or screwing people who purchase a device that already has iOS 7 on it (again, because the release is different to the GM - which is what is installed on all of those devices).

I wouldn't waste your time at all downgrading. You already have the GM and you will not be able to re-manufacture the excitement again. :)

It won't be different. That would just be a complete waste of time.
 
Maybe off-topic but I have to ask, when iOS 7 comes out will I be able to use the iOS 7 GM IPSW file to restore from backup and stuff like that?
 
It's better if you don't use OTA as that sometimes introduces problems.

I would just keep the GM. You can OTA to 7.0.1 when it comes out. Until then, GM is identical to 7.0.
 
A main reason why I went to GM if because when iOS 7 hits...the servers will overload and its going to be a painful download
