Has anyone tried the 1.8 firmware that popped up today?

I skipped 1.7 and refused to download it when asked. Unless there is some great benefit I don't see allowing this one either.

Does anyone know what 1.8 does?

Yeah, that's it. I wonder why mine just started getting it. I didn't see any negative posts so should I assume this one is ok?
