Has anyone used T-mobile's new international roaming yet?

Just wondering how well it performs. Is it actually EDGE? Or is it just 3G throttled down to EDGE speeds?

Anyone use it specifically in Canada? That's where I'll likely be roaming most.

Click "Explore Global Coverage", then "See all countries and coverage", the fine print says "Standard speeds approx. 128 Kbps. No tethering."

So enough bandwidth to check e-mail (without attachments) and some light web browsing - that's about it. Interesting. Better than nothing though, and free.

What they say doesn't always match what you actually get. If they're using actual EDGE, it will likely be a lot worse as many providers have started to refarm EDGE coverage into UMTS and LTE.

Either way, like someone said, apparently it doesn't start until the end of the month. I'll have to ask again next month.
