Has anyone used their Verizon 4s in Europe?

I'm thinking of upgrading my boss' iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4s. He travels overseas quite a bit. Has anyone taken their Verizon 4s out of the country, in particular to Europe?

Yes.

I have used mine in United Arab Emirates, Oman, Netherlands, Mexico and Italy since receiving it. Works great in all of the countries I have been to so far with it. I used VZW and did not buy a SIM card for any of the trips, because they were all short.

UAE and Oman were the worst for cost - $20.48 per MB of data used.
