Has Anyone Used This New Speck Product?

Looks kinda cool. Relatively inexpensive too..

I would buy it if I had a Macbook Pro.

My thoughts exactly. However, I am really concerned with the potential heat implications that this may have. I've sent their support personal an e-mail looking for heat test results. We'll see what they come back with.

I shouldnt pose any serious heat issues. As long as it doesnt block any necessary vents it should be fine.
 
looks pretty cool, i dont know if id use if for everday though, seems like it would take something away from the mbp desgin.

not so sure on that, apple likes for the MBP case to act as a part of the cooling system. That's why despite the lack of vents they advise you not use it on say a pillow or something else that is a terrible heat conductor. at least that's what the people at the store said.

That was my thought as well. Seeing as no one has responded that they have used it. Maybe I'll be the trailblazer and be the guinea pig.
 
Keep us updated.. I'd like to see how it comes out. I'm also wondering if it covers the Apple or not (the red one). I wish it came in other colors.

Well, seeing has apparently these are too new to have any reviews, I decided to be a guinea pig and try it out myself. I just ordered the clear version of this product, and should have it later this week or early next.

I'll post a mini-review once received and used for a bit.

What exactly are you looking for? If you look at the top of this thread, there are several links. Just cut and paste in your browser. Or, did you post to the wrong thread?
