I am curious what the processing time is from when you send in an iPhone for the trade-in credit until you get some form of notice of acceptance/credit. Please mention if it went to Apple or another carrier.

It never goes to Apple. They use a third party service and it can sometimes take a while (up to a couple of weeks) before they notify you that your phone was recieved. Then within a few days you'll be notified if your device was accepted for the agreed value or if they think its worth less and are offering you that amount now.

It's a bit of a process. Once the third party Apple uses receives it, it can take 10-15 business days to complete the process and additional. 3-5 days to process the trade in credit.

It took me exactly 15 days (Weekends are excluded), so that's 3 weeks really.

Has anyone received the return boxes yet, from those of us who have received Max and Mini models? I can see they are "preparing to ship" both return boxes, but those statuses have been like that since last Friday.

I got a ship notice for my trade-in kit, it's supposed to be here Thursday. I just got my 12 Pro Max Friday, and I'll be sending back my 11 Pro Max.

Well, I can see the tracking numbers in the FedEx app, but they’ve just been sitting there all weekend. No actual emails from Apple saying they have shipped though.

Coming from Lebanon, TN. The tracking numbers for the return label are posted too. Those will go back to Carlisle, PA.

My return kit came with the phone from Sprint. As I mentioned, it was received by their processor on the 10th - somewhere in Illinois I believe.

I received my trade in kit on Saturday and I sent it off today, so I'm interested to see how long it will take until it's marked as Trade in complete.

Can you turn the phone in to the Apple Store for instant processing? And if so, can I have the new phone shipped to me (since none of my stores have it in stock) and then turn in the trade-in at the Apple Store or do they only take the trade-in if you actually pick up your new phone in person? If I recall, when I got my iPhone 8 in-store I turned my iPhone 6 at the same time, but I don't know if the trade-in process has changed with COVID.

I shipped mine off today, oddly enough it says the address was corrected so something on the label was incorrect when it was printed. Hopefully it ends up in the right place!

Depends on the store policy. With the express pick up only stores, they likely won't do trade in's at the store, they will just mail the trade in kit to you and you just have to ship it back.

My trade-in kit is also stuck as pending from
Lebanon, TN. No idea what’s going on with that.

I just finished Up with my trade in with t-mobile. Pre ordered the 12 pro, got it on launch and a week later when my bill generated, it already had the correct monthly credit applied. Shipped my axe back and it was received on 11/5, got notified a couple days ago that it was processed and I’d be getting the quoted value. Really simple and painless process thankfully.

I shipped my older iPad Pro recently as a trade for the iPad Air. Shipping took 9 days to get to them. They notified me by email 2 days later that they were processing and would have a result within 3 days. Two days later, I received an email saying they were processing the refund for the amount I was quoted, and it could take up to 5 days to appear on the credit card acct. It took 3 days to appear. So, all total, 17 days from shipping to receiving the credit.

UPS shows mine as coming tomorrow. If you click on the email you received about the trade, and click the tracking info, somewhere on that link you can click to see when the delivery is supposed to come, if it's UPS.

I bought two release-day 12 Pros for my parents, they were processed and got their cash for their old iPhoneX phones within about 7 days.

I just got the trade in kits for my wife's XS Max and my Pixel 4XL. We'll see when they complete.

They should really engineer the box for the new phone to be the return box. Silly to send a empty box and then turn around and ship it back.

Or, email us the shipping label, and box up the old phone in the box they just shipped our new one in. Then just slap that new postage slip on the box and ship it out.

My iUP return box is en route and supposed to be here on Thursday. My 11PM has been a beast of a phone and I may shed a tear or two when I pack him up all snug for his return trip. I do love the 12PM though!!

Mine is going to the same place as yours and my tracking info also shows “address corrected”. I’m not really worried about it. I have the receipt showing it was dropped off. Whatever happens from here on out is between Apple and FedEx.
