Hi Everyone,

I'm considering buying an Apple silicone case for my upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max but I am a bit hesitant. My experience with them from the iPhone XS through the 14 have not been good. I have experienced a lot of peeling and they didn't hold up well.

I’m curious if the quality has gotten any better since then, especially since this seems to be a common issue. Has anyone noticed better durability with the more recent generations, especially the 17?

The new ones feel better than the old ones because you get used to the old ones which makes the new ones feel better.

They all start off great and then the powder like coating wears and they start getting greasy and needing a clean often.

I was nearly convinced last year that they were better, soon changed my opinion after a few weeks.

The more they show finger/hand oil the more you clean them. The more you clean them the more the finger/hand oil needs cleaning off.

I honestly think Apple should make a TPU case in the silicone designs. They won't as they sell more if they wear/degrade.
