iPod touch Has Apple said anything about the problem yet?

Has Apple officially said "We will replace the defective units", or is it kind of on your own to try to get them to replace it? It kind of sucks that people on here have had to jump through so many hoops to get Apple to fix what they originally messed up.

Nope. And it seems people are still getting flack from Apple geniuses when they try to demonstrate the problem to them.
