Has Apple updates/redesigned the Magsafe connector on the new 17" MBP ?

Hi,

So I've seen a few images on the web ( youtube ) of the new Macbook Pro. On the videos it appears that the Magsafe is similar to the Macbook Air connector( rounded, smaller ), instead of the traditional rectangular/square design.

Is this true, does anybody have close ups of this please? I know it's nothing major but I was just wondering.

Thank You, I wasn't sure if it was just on the 13" but it's as you say, across all the new models.

yea its magnetism is much stronger, and it is also more space efficient for users. Some cases/dock manufactures might not be happy with this design tho.

It was easier to plug-in and unplug the old magsafe connector. I personally didn't have any problems with the old magsafe so it's a step down for me.
