My MBP (2009 13') has just totally died, the charger went off. It didnt turn back on for a while, and now the charger wont work. Whats the odds of it being the DC board, considering the laptop crashed at the same time, and is now only running from battery? :( Genius bar booked for tomorrow.

if it's running of the battery but won't run off the AC adapter... 2 things

1) ur ac adapter is dead - happens from time to time

and/or

2) ur DC board is dead -happens from time to time

i don't think it's a big deal bc u can get either of them replaced with no problems.

u can check if ur ac adapter is dead by just plugging it into another macbook.
