It has, right? I feel like the data plan for people in the US with the original iPhone on AT&T is $10 a month, and the data plan for people with the 3G and the 3G S is $30 a month in both cases. Is this true? Does it matter whether the iPhone is 3G or 3G S or original? Does it matter if it is on a family plan?

The Internet is almost empty of real facts about how much cellular service costs. I have a message for the service providers: "This is not how capitalism works." They don't care.

Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

(PS: Yes, I searched the forums, that is where I got my "feeling", but I can't be sure. Everything is ambiguous or old.)

Using the faster 3G network does in fact cost more...it is WAY worth it IMO...Edge is a PITA to use...worse than dialup...

It's $20 for original with 200 text messages and $30 for 3G and 3GS with no included texts.
