Like many of you I am considering buying a new MBP and selling my existing 2019 MBP16.
I haven't checked in my local market, but what impact on resale prices have you seen, if any, since the availability of the new Apple Silicon MBPs?
I'm in the middle of a remote project and can't offload my MBP16 until early next year. I am wondering how prices on the used market have changed. I still see a number of highly priced used MBP16s on one of my local second-hand listings, and wonder whether these are realistically priced or whether the clear superiority of the new MBPs will cause Intel Mac used prices to tank.
Personally, I wouldn't consider buying an Intel Mac now at all....I just hope that this view isn't widespread among the general population! Pretty much the only advantage Intel Macs have is the ability to run x86 VMs or dual-boot with Bootcamp. There may be a small set of MacOS software that simply doesn't run under Rosetta.
