After i tchanged the optical drive of my MBP to a caddy, i was unable to restart the macbook, took it to the store and found out the logic board is dead, they are replacing it. since its under warranty its free. has this happened it to any one. I followed the steps from ifixit site.
I am thinking of doing it again, has any one successfully did it.

I don;t know how to discharge the static
also they didn't noticed any thing about the optical drive. I replaced it back before i gave it back

You're suppose to touch a metal part inside the MBP before you touch anything else in there.

Discharging static is a important role and it can kill your logic board, RAM, etc.
Even on the Apple's manual, it tells you to discharge static before you do anything.
