Has this happened to anyone? (with pics)

Ive had my 3g the second month after it came out, and have had no problems before this what so ever. i love it and everything its does but im pretty upset about this.

I was heading to a meeting i had today at work and rembered my iphone was not silenced, so i swiftly pulled it out and flipped it to vibrate. And the little tab that sticks out snapped cleanly off. i was crushed! that switch has been flipped numerous times! Never abused or anything and im just really surprised!

edit: for got to mention the only way i can switch it from vibrate to ringer now is take the time to go through the settings or bust out a paper clip. it also leaves a really akward hole there now

Will apple fix it?

The warranty should cover it, remember who is the customer, hint = not the apple genius.

Alright well from what im hearing is they will replace it, so off to the big HQ goes my buddy tomorrow!
