Has your free memory increased with ML

Bought a base 13.3 MBP and was wondering if I should have bought the MBA instead :) The main reason for the MBP was the little free memory I have when using my older MBP15 with Lion (often just 4gb out of 16gb is free with only safari, powerpoint, outlook, eclipse!) ... wondering if ML changes things on the memory management front. Else MBA is not an option for me (even the 8GB)
