Earlier today, my iPhone 5s completely died on me while at 45% battery charge. I couldn't turn it back on, and it wouldn't even let me charge it. I had to "reset" it to turn it on. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I had an iPhone 4 for 3.5 years, and this has never happened to me, so it has me a little worried. Hopefully it was just a bug in the software

It was just in my pocket. Had been googling something earlier, put it away, and then tried to use it again and couldn't. Really weird.

It happened to my mom recently with her iPad. The iPad crashed while she was using it and them requested she plug it into iTunes. She was visiting me at my house but we decided to plug it in for the fun of it to see what would happened and then it was fine. It was very strange.

Sounds more like it "locked up". When springboard crashes it reboots and if it's in your pocket you'll likely not even know it happened.

It could be software related. Had my iPhone 5 for little more than a year and since I updated to 7.0.4 it has crashed 4 times in the past month and a half. Been to the Genius Bar twice and they just restored from new. They said if it happened again they'd have to replace it. Happened again last week and I'm going back to the Genius Bar today. Never had this issue before I updated.

It has been crashing for me lately and starting to piss me off.

I was typing some emails using my school email and it crashed erasing everything. Happens occasionally in safari and itunes radio as well.

Hope 7.1 fixes the issues

Strange. I have a 5, and even though I'm currently having problems with it overheating, I've never had a problem with iOS crashing.

iOS 7.0.4, not jailbroken.

Well it sounds like it's mainly an iOS 7 issue since some other people are having these issues after updating (rather than the phone itself). Let's hope the next update comes soon!

I think it's a combination of the 5S's hardware and iOS 7.0.4 not playing nicely. It should be able to be sorted out with an update.

My 4S has been very stable at least as far as iOS crashing goes.

It's been happening to people since iOS 7. Should be cleared up by 7.1.

My 5s crashed running 7.0.4, tonight I installed 7.1 beta3 so will see how that holds up but reports are promising with regard to its stability.
