Just curious how long it takes to degrade? I got mine at launch day, battery health still shows 100%.

My previous phone, an iPhone X, when I traded in, it was at 97%.

Wonder what is everyone experiencing?

I think it has a lot to do with how one uses their phone. I use mine for calls, texts, and light web surfing. I rarely ever get below 95%wear in a year. Now I have a SE that I use as an iPod touch and it is at 88% in a year as I watch a lot of YouTube on that and listen to a lot of music and Sirius/XM.

Still 100% on my Max. I try not to use a wireless charger with my Max as much I did with my X. My X battery health degraded fast and I believe it may have been from the wireless charging.

Still 100% on my Max and I always use inductive charging pad to charge mine. Got mine on launch day as well.

People take the battery percentages far too literally. Technically your battery starts degrading as soon as it’s manufactured. But also keep in mind that any battery health measurement is an estimate, with a margin of error. Don’t worry about it (maybe don’t even look at it) until you start to actually notice that your battery isn’t lasting as long.

Bout the same with my 6+, 6s+, 8+. I've owned all but the 8+ for almost 2 years and after 250 cycles, had a few percentage drop in capacity - usually around 3. My usage: light, reading, etc... Spends most of its time at 100%. I use wireless charging since my 8+.

Keep the battery >20% if you can, don't let it get super hot (in sun), and just use the phone.

Launch day Xs (September 21st) Battery at 99% so about what I would expect considering the smaller capacity compared with the Max.

Do anyone use the iPad charging block to charge their phone or should I use the block that come with the phone?

I have used a 2.4amp Anker charger with my 6+, 6s+ and some with my 8+. The phone is the one that asks for current. It will only ask what is safe. Doesn’t hurt to use the iPad charger.

I used a wireless charging pad with my X a lot. My battery health was 99% before selling it and I had it for a year.

Interesting data logging. We should all collectively gather such stats, ideally in a semi automated way.. would give interesting insights.

I bought a week 50 Max last weekend and coconut showed the full charge capacity as 3339 but had to exchange because the speaker kept cutting in and out. My new week 51 Max only shows 3271 as the full charge capacity. A 2% decrease out of the gate. Any reason to be concerned?

Thanks

How much are you draining it daily? I usually charge mine at the end of the day before hitting 50% because I think that counts as a half cycle and I have almost as much as your cycles, about 45-50 and I got it one week after you lol although no change in the Battery tab in Settings, weirdly I noticed it started draining quicker from a week ago, but can't confirm yet.
