I know this seems as though it is really minor and pointless question to ask though I am just curious as I have only ever heard of Apple using Samsung and Hynix. I read somewhere else that sometimes they buy from Micron as well or have in the past hence my question.

I've bought 12 Macs in the past decade and none of them have come with Micron RAM. However most of them have ended up with at least some Micron RAM!

I've seen countless machines with Micron RAM from Apple as a tech. About equal numbers, I'd say, to Hynix, with Samsung being only slightly less common.

Thanks for the responses guys. I know it seemed as though it was a pointless question though I was genuinely curious.

I knew Micron made Crucial and they might still be in the running for Elpida.
