Trying to further lock in why many early custom orders of the Mac Pro '08 with 8800 GT still haven't shipped yet. This vote is to see how many people have received their shipment/notifications of MPs with 500GB HD CTO upgrades, and how many haven't.

Come on they are all obviously shipping just wait for them, starting endless threads and polls isn't going to make it arrive any quicker.
 
Nope. In fact I just got off the phone with Apple and she denied there being proof of any "out of order" issues. She gave me the free overnight shipping but insisted that there was no problem. I ordered Jan. 19. Ship by Feb. 20th.

ordered yesterday (feb. 10th). hasn't shipped yet, but I called apple today (the 11th) to switch back to the 320 GB drive. Apple said the order was already in production and couldn't be changed, so it doesn't seem to be a problem for new orders . . . . .
 
I ordered on Jan 17th with Feb 25th shipping date. I got tired of seeing eveyone else getting their computers, so I called Apple today. The rep said that there was "No Way" that newer orders were being shipped before older ones, but she was very quick to give me next day frieght and $150.00 off the price. Makes me feel better, but truthfully, I'd rather have may computer.

That's a good sign - I ordered the same configuration. What was your original ship date? Mine is 20FEB. :(

Edit: I just checked again, and it's now "Prepared for Shipment"! Woohoo!

I hope it arrives before class tomorrow...

My Jan 15th order with 8800 and 500GB is FINALLY Prepared for Shipment this morning. It is NYC here.

Ordered mine Jan 21, shipped Feb 8 with 500gb, 8800, wifi, wireless keyboard, should be here soon!
 
Mine is prepped as of this morning. Probably won't get a shipped update till the end of the day.
 
Mine changed to "Prepared for Shipment" yesterday evening. Still hasn't shipped yet though.
 
Ordered January 8 with 8800GT and 500GB hard drive. Originally slated to ship on Feb 13 and deliver on Feb 19. Actually shipped on Feb 11 and expect to deliver on Feb 13.

Suppose I can update my vote in 3 polls now :D

(a) Has your MacPro with 8800GT shipped? Check.
(b) Has your January order with 8800GT shipped? Check.
(c) Has your MacPro with 8800GT and 500GB HD shipped? Check.

While this would normally be good news, I wanted them to keep to the original date as I'm somewhere in the southern hemisphere for a few days. Fortunately FedEx Ground shipments can be held for 7 to 10 days!

Congrats ksz. I have the same shipping dates as you. Still no update, not even preparing to ship. I don't need the MP for work. I need it to change the way I live! I'm sticking close to home because I have a gut feeling it is going to show up unannounced.

Enjoy the summer weather in the southern hemisphere! But then again, if the weather has been as freakish all over the world as of late.

Although Apple is catching up quickly, just remind yourself (like I do) that absence makes the heart grow fonder... :)

It's really pleasant here in Chennai, India. My 4th business trip and it still feels like a whole different world. (Oops, turns out India is north of the equator...)

Well, to tell you the truth, I wasn't completely prepared to get it until now. I already have the HD, RAM and just now pulled the trigger on the Adobe and Office 2008 software. 3-5 day shipping, but since it's going from Austin to Fort Worth, it should be quick!

I've always wanted to go to take the train throughout India. I bet it's beautiful! Looks like it's sunny and in the 80's during the day for the rest of the week! Enjoy the Coromandel Coast!
