Hash key in Leopard

Okay this is going to sound like a stupid question but the hash key used to be Alt + 3 (unless I am getting confused with Windows) but I can't seem to find it in Leopard. Have they changed it? It makes C programming very inconvenient having to copy and paste it all the time.

Still works for me. Are you sure you haven't messed around with your keyboard layout settings? If you have told the OS you have a US keyboard it probably won't work...

Have you tried Alt, Shift +3

Of course, I may be wrong

Nope everything is set to UK input and proper English. Alt + Shift + 3 give me the pound sign. Alt + 3 gives me 3. So not sure what is wrong .

Edit : LOL just worked it out. My left Alt key is broken . Bah, ah well I've wanted one of the new aluminium keyboards anyway.
