Hey,

Anyone know how I can set up/find an existing shortcut that will insert a hash while I'm writing? Just joined twitter (twitter.com/thephonelounge if anyone wants to follow) and want to know how to insert a hash bcos there's no key on my unibody macbook.

Cheers.

What keyboard layout are you using?
US, British or other?

British is Alt+3

British and thanks. Now I can # all I like. Is there a list of all these shortcuts around anywhere? Thanks for your help!

Probably. But for one's I don't know I use the Keyboard Viewer, under the flag in the menu bar.

It shows the layout. Hit the modifier keys and you can see where things are...

At least, Keyboard Viewer is under the flag in your menu bar if you have it configured to appear there. If not, go to System Preferences -> International -> Input Menu -> (check) Keyboard Viewer. Character Palette is handy, too. Make sure the "Show input menu in menu bar" option is set, and you're good.
