Hi guys,

I recently just purchased a 2.3ghz, 16gb ram macbook pro with GT750m, and whenever I watch youtube videos at 1080p, the fans begin spinning at 6000 rpm?

Is this normal? Prior to this macbook, I used the late 2011 macbook pro model with AMD 6770m model, and that macbook never had the fans spinning higher than 2000 rpm when watching youtube videos at 1080p...

I am just wondering if this is normal, or if it is because I am running the new rmbp at 1200p resolution?

Thanks

Where both those stats using the same browser? What browser(s)? On the rMBP are you using the 750m or the Iris Pro?

This..Ive seen it where in Chrome the fans kick on but not in Safari

If you are using Chrome or other, check for update and any other extensions/plug ins that might be eating up cpu and pushing fans to come on
