Speculation as we really don't know but if I were to hazard a guess the specs won't change. That is the base model = 8gb of ram and 256gb SSD.

Not a chance. I'm hoping for a 512 gig, but you gotta figure that and the maxed out ram is a huge part of the attraction of buying one of the higher end models. Why would Apple throw those sales in the wind?
