Haswell rMBP hardware problem?

I have Mavericks installed on my 2010 15" MBP and it runs flawless with zero crashes.

My new 2013 15" Haswell rMBP crashes sometimes and some software isn't working on Mavericks (it works fine on my 2010 15" MBP running the same operating system)

Is this normal behavior that the new 2013 15" Haswell rMBP is less stable on OS X Mavericks than the older MBP's? Or do I have a hardware problem?

I need a lot more info. What are you doing when is crashes? How is it crashing, is it just dying, freezing, is just one app freezing? What software isn't working? What new rMBP do you have?

MplayerX from the App store for example. It runs on the 2010 15" MBP but on the 2.3 ghz / 16 gb / 512 gb SSD / 750m 2013 15" rMBP it will freeze and not respond when I open it.

I also had random restarts of the computer due to opening an application. This doesn't happen on the 2010 15" MBP running Mavericks.

Are you aways on the dGPU when you have problems? Use gfxCardStatus to force the iGPU to run and then open MPlayerX and see what happens.
