Hauppage HVR-900 not found on Mac Pro

My Mac Pro wont find my tv tuner. EyeTV says it's plugged in to a usb 1.1 port no matter what port I plug it into except if I plug it into the keyboard, then OS X says it's in an USB 1.1 port.

Please help.

Contact the maker that's what I would do

It seems to some problem with OS X ever since late 10.4. Other tv cards work byt not the Hauppauge hvr-900 and the eyetv hybrid, which are the same. I don't know if it affects all cards but it seems that there are several cases.

Did Apple change anything big with the USB system in say 10.4.10?
