Hauppauge HD PVR Uses?

I've got a Hauppauge HD PVR http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html

and I know that its main use is for making video game videos and I do plenty of that.

I was just curious if there are any other popular uses for this equipment.

If your Dtv box has component video out (Red, green, blue plugs), then yes.
