I have a PCI Hauppauge TV tuner card for the PC (uses bttv 878 driver). Does anyone know if this will work in a Mac?

You can try the software from Miglia and see if that recognizes it. The company who originally wrote the software (Televideo), allowed third-party cards to be used, as long as you paid for the software. You will need a serial for the Miglia software, but you should be able to install the software first and see if it recognizes your card. Also, there were some open sourced software projects out there a while ago for PCI TV cards, but most development ended well before a 1.0 release, right about the time of Mac OS X 10.2.7. You could try them out. One was called iTV and the other was Xtelevision. There is supposedly pretty decent software available for digital tuner cards as well. And since your card is pretty common, you might want to try the Formac beta software if it is still available.
