Have 10.2.9 but need 10.4 or higher

Ok so I jsut got this mac and was a normal PC guy. My gfs parents gave us there G4 and it has 10.2.9 and I think that is panther? i need tiger to run all of the new stuff right? where can i downlaod tiger from?

You can buy Leopard (10.5) from Apple you might find some people on eBay selling Tiger.

You have 10.2.8.

You need 10.3.9 minimum for an iPhone 2G. I don't know if you need 10.4+ for the iPhone 3G.

also, is there certain criterias i should worry about trying to put tiger or leopard on a G4? or will the G4 be able to handle anything i put on it for now?
