Hey guys,

I have an 2.0ghz rMBP, wanted to see if its worth updating to the new rMBP? Haven't been up to speed lately on new tech :)

No. You'll get at best a 30% performance bump if you get the highest end one. Wait until 2015 and let's see if Apple will give us a quantum leap in respect to performance.

By a quantum leap, I expect something like a 9XX Series Nvidia dGPU, Broadwell and 32GB RAM support. 512GB SSD on the low-end 15".

No. I went from a high end 2012 to a high end 2014 (applecare replacement due to the 2012 crashing issue) and I haven't really noticed any major performance differences.

My experiments finish roughly 10% faster, which isn't worth spending 2k on.

How much is it out of pocket if you don't have applecare? I have a late 2013 13" retina and I want a 15". The 2012 15" seem to be in my price range if I do a trade.
