“She was determined to beat herself up,” an arresting officer said. “And she did. One of the worst beatings I’ve ever seen in my twenty years on the force.”

Allegedly, Peak had taken a $12 bet from her stepfather that she couldn’t “kick her own ass.”

“I knew I could beat myself up even though I’m pretty tough,” Peak told police. “I wanted to really show him [stepfather] that I wasn’t afraid of myself.”

CLICK HERE FOR HILARIOUS MUG SHOT

While ridiculous, this really is not funny at all. She clearly has some mental health issues if she willingly caused this much damage to her body (and especially for essentially no reward- $12). Skull fractures, damage to her teeth, and likely a concussion as well is not particularly funny.

I hope she gets the help she needs.

Can't be PC and serious about everything. She obviously needs help, but that mug shot is still hilarious.

Well, I think whether or not one thinks it is 'hilarious' has little to do with any definition of PC.

Actually, I think it is a horrible and ghastly story, with elements of real sadness, the sort of story all too dismally and bleakly common among people at the very bottom of the social, economic and political scale whose lives are a mess by every measurable criteria.

And no, it is not remotely 'hilarious', to my mind. But then, humour is such a personal thing.

Laughing at someone's illness or instability isn't funny. What's next making fun of someone in a wheelchair?

I am sarcastic and like black humor and is not funny. Negligent family/step-father.
Now he is suing her for destroying his house and she has a $4000 medical bill.

LIVEFRMNYC, think about what you are considering funny.

The woman in the story is 33.

She did destroy his house, didn't she?
And she did beat herself up.

She also won't pay one cent. She can plead insanity, since she is clearly kuku.

There are two things in the world, your body and your mind. You body works in a time/space world, you have a mass and that mass is deteriorating biologically with time.

The mind is different, there is no time. You can go back at any time at light speed and recreate any memory and your body will feel it. You do get upset about things that happened a week ago or 20 years ago.

The girl in question keeps those "ghosts" a live and her step father obviously is a careless person and she still that "kid" who still believe he is the person she has to fallow. The mind could be a very nasty jail.
