Ok so if you were to play Wow on osx with dual monitor... do you play on one screen while the other screen is still under osx?? Or does the 2nd monitor become part of the game??

Depends how you set it up 
Its important to note though that regardless of how you set it up, the actual game will only be shown on ONE monitor. The difference is that you can have the other monitor either blacked out or showing OSX.
By default if your running full screen you get wow on one monitor, and the other one goes black. If you want to be able to use the other one, set wow to Windowed mode. This then lets you use the other monitor just like if you were not running wow. Personally I like to watch DVDs while i'm playing wow, so I tend to have VLC running on monitor 2 while playing wow on monitor 1, or sometimes Safari so I can check thott easily
