I just ordered 5 macbooks/iPhones for my company party's giveaway and my manager ordered them already so I had to return them without even opening the boxes.

I think I am coming across this issue since I am not even able to buy anything from Apple's website without it showing that there is a pre authorization failed for my credit card.
I've called my bank and even apple and they are both pointing fingers at each other.

What do you guys suggest I do? I really need a new iPhone for personal use and I cannot buy anything from the site with my card.

Does this "purchasing blacklist" have an expiration date? or is it indefinite?

Did you order them with a student discount or similar? Apple only allows you to buy so many products of each yearly with the discounts they offer.

Have you tried a different credit card not associated with your bank? Have you tried a debit card instead of a credit card?

Are you saying you bought them as well as your boss and you then returned the ones you bought? If so, the credit may not have been properly processed or completed. As mentioned, I would try a different card. Have you gone online to your account and verified your balance?

I highly doubt if Apple bans anybody for returning a few products. The problem is clearly with your method of payment. Just use another card, or buy in person at an Apple store.

Would for sure be your card. Apple is very generous with their return policy.

You've given us no timeline of events. Can we assume Apple has already refunded the charged amount and that your card account shows this being added to your balance?
