I noticed some strange thing today when i'm connected to the internet my terminal says:

Willem:~ jankees$
instead of
jankees-van-woeziks-macbook:~ jankees$

Does anyone know how this is posible? The strangest thing is, when i pull my networkcable from my macbook and then open a new terminal window the right name apears (jankees-van-woeziks-macbook:~ jankees$)...

I hope someone know more about this...

Kind regards,

update: I notice when i'm connect to the internet wireless i don't see those spooky terminals....

Maybe the DHCP Server assigns a name for your computer? Does this also happens with DHCP turned off?
In Terminal type
Code:
ipconfig getpacket en0
and check if the new computername appears there... en0 shoud be the Ethernet wired connected, en1 should be the airport link.
